TCM Foot Reflexology in Singapore, Healing That Starts at Your Feet

Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, our foot reflexology uses meridian-based pressure to support your whole body,  from your digestive system to your sleep quality.

What Is Foot Reflexology? A TCM-Grounded Explanation

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the foot is a microcosm of the body. Specific zones and reflex points on the soles, heels, toes, and sides of the foot correspond to organs, glands, and systems throughout the body,  from the liver and kidneys to the lungs, sinuses, and spine.

Meridian massage and foot reflexology apply targeted pressure to these zones to remove blockages in the body’s energy pathways (qi channels or meridians), restore balance, and stimulate the body’s natural healing function. This is fundamentally different from a standard foot massage,  and at My Father’s Feet, our reflexology therapists are trained specifically in TCM foot reflex technique.

How it Works

Inside a TCM Foot Reflexology Session

1. Reading the Feet

An experienced reflexology therapist reads your feet before applying pressure. Areas of tenderness, temperature, and texture correspond to different systems in the body. This assessment shapes the session.

2. Meridian Mapping & Pressure Application

Using thumbs, fingers, and TCM-specific technique, your therapist applies deliberate pressure to reflex points mapped to your body’s meridian pathways. The pressure is firm but always controlled,  working through tenderness rather than against it.

3. Whole-Body Response

As blockages clear in the meridians, guests often notice sensations far beyond the feet,  warmth in the chest, a release of sinus tension, even emotional release in some cases. This is the TCM whole-body response at work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TCM foot reflexology painful?

Some reflex points,  especially those corresponding to organs or systems under stress,  may feel more tender than others. A skilled therapist works through this progressively and never exceeds your comfort threshold. Most guests describe it as ‘therapeutic discomfort’ rather than pain.

How many reflexology sessions do I need to see results?

Many guests notice benefits after a single session,  particularly improved sleep and reduced tension. For systemic support (digestive issues, chronic stress, menstrual irregularity), a course of 4–8 sessions over 4–8 weeks is often recommended.

What's the difference between TCM meridian massage and reflexology?

Meridian massage works along the body’s qi channels (meridians) and can be applied across the whole body. Foot reflexology specifically uses the foot’s reflex map. Both are TCM-rooted,  and at My Father’s Feet, both are practised with genuine expertise.

Is foot reflexology suitable for elderly guests?

Yes, reflexology is generally very well-suited for elderly guests seeking circulation support, sleep improvement, and general wellness. Therapists adjust pressure for comfort and sensitivity.

Can I get reflexology if I'm pregnant?

Certain reflex points are contraindicated during pregnancy. Please inform our therapist and consult your doctor before booking a reflexology session during pregnancy.
